So, what's going on?

Welcome back to the site.
You must have noticed that the player’s gone, the I haven’t posted here for a few weeks.

Let me tell you what is in the making:

1°) I’m still redesigning the site. Less place for this blog on the front, and more place for graphic and straight in-your-face information. As I’m doing it on my own, this takes time. I just know one thing, once perfect, you’ll love what I’m doing right now. And beyond that, it means that I’ll be able to sync all info on all social sites with my site with a single click. You probably noticed that I was active on Facebook and Twitter. I’m posting here less often. Because you’re all on facebook and twitter anyway, it’s easier to get in touch with you that way, and post all reports every now and then here. Don’t you think?

2°) I’m choosing a new webplayer and I am testing them all out on a ghostpage for my eyes only.

3°) The Progrez show is slightly changing as I’m now getting on the microphone for information. Tracklists will be found here and on the facebook progrez page that I invite you to JOIN

4°) I am now actively preparing my return behind decks as a dj. Proof of this, the latest Progrez show, aired tomorrow on DI prog, was mixed live on regular decks, and not in a sequencer. The « I’m not a dj » disease is over. It’s time to move on in life. I’m also planning residencies in Belgium, and even though it’s already confirmed, the first one is going to be a huge surprise for all of you. Once I get the flyer, you know wht to do.

5°) I’ve become a daddy and therefore needed to re-organize my life. It means that you will soon have less access to my private life, because I don’t want my family to get exposed. I had to make a decision, and I made it. I hope you will understand, because many of you don’t get it that I sometimes need some fresh air too (telephone from germany ringin at 2AM last weekend, overwhelming messages on AIM...) I wish I could spend more time with you, honestly, but I need to focus on my own life now and be a little more selfish.

6°) Yes the rumors are true, I am going to the US in November. Finally! More info ASAP, including.

7°) Soon hopefully I’ll be able to announce brand new remixes that I’ve just finished. My friends of Wideband Network (USA, WA-OH) Casey Clark and Caesar Filori, just got their Airwave remix treatment for their upcoming single called « Oxygen and Atmosphere ». Another artist, got a DOUBLE treatment. I wish I could tell you more guys. But it’s beyond my control right now.

8°) October 10th will See my Friends Fly and Kevin Vega organize a Bonzai Progressive Kult event @Perron M, Mechelen, and they invited me as their guest to play a full dj set. See you there my friends!

And YES... The DJ IS BACK!!

Dear Friends! Thanks for getting in touch with me recently! To be honest those signs of love and respect from all over the world sound like a revival. I was lost, stuck somewhere, with a wrong and biased perception of things. I thought I wasn't convincing enough as a dj and that's why I said I'd quit.

Recently I had the chance to play a few gigs here and there, after a long absence. The response was a lot better than expected. And that made me realize that I was wrong. It's like there's still a little part of me in many clubbers' hearts.

That's why I have decided to put everything together on my own for a few events next year, and I'll start off in my own country, Belgium. Why? Because after travelling the world and playing like I've done, it sounds like I was not "good" enough for the local clubs. Well after what I've seen last Sunday, after what my own DAD has seen last Sunday, objectively, they're wrong. And I have to show them.

So, spread the word, it's time for us to show those dumbasses in clubland what they were missing. And once things really get done here, it'll be about time to invade all territories. Ambitious? HEY, WHOSE RECORDS (among others let's be honest) MADE THOSE DUTCHMEN FAMOUS IN 2000? WHOSE RECORDS ARE BEING CONSIDERED AS CLASSICS BY MANY OF YOU GUYS? WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Ask yourself those questions and compare answers... you got the picture.

It's not because I'm a very accessible and friendly artist that I'll let anyone dictate his/her law. This music is my playground as well as anyone's. And for those who don't like me, well, screw them. I wanna have fun with you all, whatever happens.

So, this is a personal, probably violent, but official announcement, to start things off, I'm back behind turntables, and I won't leave them anymore, EVER. Jaws will drop and there will be blood in the dj booth if needed, because I'll fight seriously if some stand in my way. And no mercy this time. :-D
